The wild yellow gentian is sustainably and locally harvested in France by gentian-pickers trained in good harvesting practices, gentian roots are strictly selected by GREENTECH scientists.
The bacteria (Sphingomonas sp.), also sourced in France, has de ability to survive in a cold and more desiccated air environment thanks to specific defense mechanisms.
HOLOBIOSYS is a COSMOS-certified organic, upcycled and microbiota-friendly active ingredient. A wild yellow gentian roots extract enhanced by fermentation with a rare and cold-tolerant bacteria from aerobiota.
To counteract dehydrated (lack of water) and dry (lack of lipids) skin, HOLOBIOSYS® boosts hyaluronic acid (HA) synthesis both in the epidermis and the dermis. It also stimulates HA receptor CD44 and its signaling cascade allowing the reinforcement of epidermal barrier.
Indeed, tight junction and differentiation markers are upregulated as well as lipid synthesis in keratinocytes for a more cohesive epidermis able to lock in skin moisture.
